Why life coaching?
Why life coaching? It's a good question. Most people arrive at this page after spending many years learning about themselves by completing courses, reading books, watching podcasts, journaling, undertaking periods of self reflection, and almost certainly after having survived one or more 'long dark nights of the Soul' following traumatic life events. We would hopefully all give ourselves a medal for the degree of personal and professional transformation we have achieved.
And yet, its still not quite right, is it? We have not yet reached peak performance. There are glimpses of what is possible and what is probable - actually, what we think should have been a dead cert! But it's proving to be irritatingly elusive.
When it comes to our personal growth and development, we can only know what we know. Much of what is 'us' is buried in our sub or unconscious minds. We may be aware that in certain circumstances, we have little or no choice as to how we react and respond to life happening around us, no matter how unhelpful those behaviours are. And at times this can make life exhausting and unproductive. I believe our hero's journey is to bring every shred of our authentic nature into our conscious mind. With this awareness, we can exercise choice in what we think, feel and do in any moment.
How we do this is up to us. According to many experts, the journey to self enlightenment is more important than achieving it. I would beg to differ. Yes, the journey is important, and after all that blood, sweat and tears, I think its only reasonable that I get to reap the rewards of achieving self-enlightenment on Earth, whilst I am alive and kicking. I want to walk the path of mastery, be the creator of my reality, wield my magic for my highest good and the betterment of all. Do you?

My Experience
I am fascinated by humans and what makes us tick. I am endlessly captivated by the classic Hero’s journey, the battles between the Gods and Goddesses in ancient mythology, the contemporary archetypes, the influences of Nature and Nurture and the conundrum of human nature versus the human condition.
Throughout my 24 year career in the Royal Air Force and 3 years of academic studies with the Chartered Institute of Professional Development, I learned what motivates us as individuals and as team members, and how to motivate and inspire other people to go the extra mile. I learned how we process data and acquire knowledge through our preferred learning style. And using a myriad of models, I learned what personality types I am and how to use that awareness to interact effectively with others. I used this knowledge to build and lead highly effective teams, capable of performing under prolonged pressure and high stress.
Whether it was during my 17 years as an Air Traffic controller, or during my 7 years training young Officers in leadership and management and developing their emotional intelligence, it was always the people I focussed on the most. Yes, the primary aim was to complete the task to the highest level of competence and effectiveness. But who completes the mission? People. People matter. Enabling people to reach their highest potential and experience deep levels of satisfaction was of utmost importance to me then and remains my passion to this day.
As I prepared to leave the RAF in 2006, I trained as a coach in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and continued with my life-long journey of exploration into the science behind human behaviour. I relish the mind-expanding insights that Quantum Mechanics and its theories around observation and entanglement
bring to the inter-relatedness of all things. I now weave theories about energy and matter, together with more esoteric and metaphysical philosophies, into my observations, analysis and guidance to elevate human behaviour to its highest potential.
From 2007, when I started my degree in Traditional Acupuncture, I expanded my coaching tool kit to include a deeply transformational philosophy called the Five Elements. You could liken it to Mother Nature's very own personality profiling model and guide for living an expansive and deeply satisfying life. I blend this construct with all the skills and knowledge I've acquired over nearly 40 years, and to date over 200 clients have benefited from this ancient wisdom. This theory is non-judgemental and non-gender specific and draws on what happens in the natural world around us to demonstrate what happens within us.
We are all the elements all of the time, however there is one that informs our habituated or unconscious response to life. This primary element feels more like home than the others. It is the key to understanding why you do what you do, why you think the way you think and feel the way you feel. If you want to re-establish balance in your life and step into personal mastery, knowing what your primary element is would rapidly accelerate your progress. Once you do, you have the master key to unblock and unlock your true authentic nature and step into personal mastery and sovereignty.

My Services
I offer online one-on-one coaching sessions. You have a choice of three different coaching packages, depending on how you feel called to work with me.
- Option 1 is a 3-month intensive package. You could liken this to a downhill skiing race. This package works well for addressing a key issue or challenge that has a specific context, which you want to resolve soonest. For example, a dysfunctional relationship with someone at work. Something that is disrupting your focus, adversely affecting your performance and causing you emotional angst. I will draw on models and philosophies that directly support your resolving this particular issue, starting at the top and not stopping until we have crossed the finish line.
- Results. By the finish line, you will have gained the necessary insights and strategies to be able to resolve the issue. Perhaps by building a highly functional relationship with your colleague and improving your quality of life beyond expectation. The insights you gain throughout the 3-month period may also support you in making other positive changes in your life, in a wider context.
- We will have nine x 90 minute sessions during this period. From experience, it works best when we schedule one session per week for three consecutive weeks, then have a break in the fourth week for integration. You will have access to me on WhatsApp during the entire 3 months. This will primarily be used by you to note insights as they pop up and record general progress. You may also use it highlight areas to work on at our next session.
- Option 2 is a 6-month package. You could liken this to a more relaxed cross-country tour. There is a start line and a destination, but you will have time to appreciate the changing landscape on the way, and proceed at your own pace. You may wish to use this opportunity to focus on one key issue to great depth, or shine a light on a number of seemingly non-related issues. For example, why do I live in fear that everything I've worked so hard for will be taken away, and that I won't have enough money in the bank to support me? Or, why do I find it hard to trust people and always sabotage personal relationships? Or, why can't I say no to people and end up running myself into the ground, feeling deeply resentful that no one appreciates how much I suffer?
- Results. By the end of this tour, you will have expanded your self awareness by becoming familiar with the fundamental aspects of your personality and how they inform your behaviour. You will be able to identify the blocks to living an authentic life and know how to remove them. You will be able to recognise what aspects of yourself are out of balance and know how to restore balance quickly and effectively. You will have the strategies to be able to manage personal and professional relationships more effectively than before. And ultimately, live a life that is more enjoyable and fulfilling than you could have thought possible.
- During this 6-month period, we will have eighteen x 90 minute sessions together. Ideally we will schedule them at weekly intervals for the first three weeks each month, and have an integration week on the fourth. You will have access to me on WhatsApp during the entire 6 months. This will primarily be used by you to note insights as they pop up and record general progress. You may also use it highlight areas to work on at our next session.
- Option 3 is a 9-month retreat-style programme. It is akin to a relaxed, recreational luxury tour of numerous resorts around the world. You don't even have to ski! You could go walking or sight-seeing or spend all your time in the luxury spa. This is a package where you can explore every area of your life in a deeply nourishing and nurturing way. A time for re-coding the reality of your entire life, from personal and professional relationships, career aspirations, lifestyle choices, to your personal philosophy, beliefs and values.
- Results. By the end of the tour, you will have the ability to re-align the imbalances that held you back, kept you small, compromised your true nature, robbed you of your joy, sabotaged your relationships and perpetuated a frequency of fear or lack, with the natural harmonious state of your authenticity. Should you desire to do this, you will be able to step effortlessly into personal mastery. I believe this to be the highest-level frequency available to we humans at this time. At this frequency, you embody the creator powers of Source Consciousness and you become the architect of your reality.
- During this 9-month period, we will have eighteen x 90 minute online sessions together. These can be scheduled at time intervals to suit you. We will also have a two and half day in-person retreat at Sutton Courtenay Abbey, Abingdon, Oxfordshire OX14 4AE. This will be scheduled at any time during the 9-month period, at our mutual convenience. It will run from the Friday evening to the Sunday late afternoon and include accommodation and meals. (Accommodation either at the Abbey or in a nearby hotel). We will have an equivalent of twelve x 90 minute sessions together during the weekend. You will also have access to me on WhatsApp during the entire 9 months. This will primarily be used by you to note insights as they pop up and record general progress. You may also use it highlight areas to work on at our next session. However, this facility is also available to you to engage with me in more in-depth exchanges in between our online sessions.
I also offer in-person team coaching at a venue of the organisation's choice, and occasional online workshops. I am also available for public speaking events where I share how to achieve personal mastery through aligning with one's true nature, the natural way.
My area of focus is on enabling individuals and team members to achieve peak performance in their personal lives and professional careers, and to walk the path of self-mastery in all areas of their lives.

Without Clair’s consistently concise and clear insight (whilst always still being kind - sometimes reality is hard to hear!), I would be still be convinced that everything behaviourally ’wrong’ in my relationship was down to the OTHER person.
In my ‘out-of-balance’ state, my wood was knocking on his wood, harder and harder, building resentfulness and frustration. The future was of loggerheads facing up, with the story in my head saying that ‘giving way’ equated to ‘being walked over’. Knock, knock, knock on wood …
Clair’s coaching helped me see that all the positive characteristics of wood were there in spades - in BOTH of us - and harmony was possible if one’s wood had the flexibility to bend with the wind. This concept sang to my soul given the nature-loving person I am, especially when I learned that my water element (also strong in me) could both catastrophise AND, when in balance, help harmony develop through its innate flow and adaptability energy.
Without Clair’s wisdom and infinitely kind conviction in what she was observing, we wouldn’t be the contented couple we are now, rubbing along together rather beautifully. She helped me see what was under my nose, and taught me the ways to have a better rest-of-my-life.
